DuPont

DuPont is a US-based multinational science and technology-based company that uses the findings of scientific research and innovation to improve the quality of people’s lives. Their Nutrition & Bioscience division develops sustainable solutions to improve our living environment, mainly by reducing energy and water consumption and reducing waste in production and consumption processes. In summer 2020, DuPont relocated to a new head office in the Bio Science Park in the town of Oegstgeest in the Dutch province of South Holland. DsignMarking created the design for the signage, visual branding and acoustics. We were entrusted to develop and execute this highly prestigious project from start to finish: from design to complete rollout.

Since DuPont is involved in every aspect of sustainability, it was definitely a challenge for us to find a common thread in the design that would give the client and the building a consistent look and a clear navigation system. The solution on which we eventually decided – the use of three basic/in-depth colours and how they were rendered – turned out to be highly consistent. The materials used in this process are printed foils, abrasion-resistant floor foils for the COVID-19 routing, relief lettering and anodised tarpaulin profile with acoustic noise dampening.
