The art of signing

ING Art Management, the client of this project, is involved in art purchases and commissions, among other things. This active and reputable player in the art world commissioned the renowned Austrian artist Peter Kogler to design a work for the ING headquarters Cedar in Amsterdam, realized in 2019. The spectacular result was a labyrinthine play of graphic tubes, starting in the parking basement and continuing via the staircase and outer walls of the elevator core to the ground floor and the first floor.

From digital file to 350m2 DsignTex Wallcovering

In summary, we were asked to translate the artwork into a functional and durable wall finish. The fine detailing of the design was challenging and required an exceptionally high level of precision in execution, which was completed entirely seamlessly and without overlaps. The artwork is 100% black and white printed on a substrate that meets the strictest certifications regarding fire safety and is optimally cleanable.

The role of DsignMarking

We took final responsibility for the entire project and were involved in all discussions about execution from the beginning of the process. We maintained close contact with the client ING and artist Peter Kogler. A very important aspect was accurate measurement determination to create the correct layout of production files based on the provided artwork using maquettes. After this intensive preliminary phase, the complete production followed, and then the installation took place. The crowning achievement.
