Wayfinding and signage that makes an impression

Flint Theater wanted to give the building both inside and outside a renewed appearance, with a focus on clearer and better functioning wayfinding. Additionally, the aim was to strengthen the branding throughout the entire building , including the parking garage, in collaboration with buro L-5.

Our role

After previous collaborations, including the provision of wayfinding, DsignMarking was asked again to guide and expand this process. We were responsible for the complete implementation of branding and wayfinding.

Unique elements

The iconic tower of Flint is adorned with gold foil, giving the building a powerful and recognizable appearance. Outside, illuminated benches have been placed that light up in the dark and contribute to both ambiance and orientation. The wayfinding has been completely revised and set up more clearly, so visitors can more easily find their way through the building. This visual line has been extended into the parking garage.

Result

After completion, active feedback was collected from visitors after one year. It turned out that the new wayfinding significantly contributed to navigability and experience within the theater. A successful project in which branding, functionality, and ambiance come together and in which the identity of Flint is visible at all levels.
